Some wonderful inspirational builds here :thumbsup2:

For the unarmed turrets, what is the best way to deal with the empty slots where the guns would be? I haven't come across any clear photo's as to what they did on the real aircraft :hmmm:

Yup, a lovely job there Paul

By the way (and OT), you now describe yourself as "No Longer a Nefarious Foreign National". Do I assume correctly that you're now a citizen?

Cheers, John!

PM sent.

I assumed some sort of covering and simply filled the slots with white glue! :)

Tonyot,

Stunning examples of Lancasters.

First one is simply breath taking.

I could not agree more. All three are nice but that ASR.III really, really does it for me.

Just added this on another post but this is my ID Models 1/32nd scale vacform Lancaster BIII. This is actually a model of my Great Uncle's machine, he was a W/Op with 156 Squadron based at RAF Upwood in 1943-44 and was lost on operations.

Two more of my Lanc's the first is the old (and still the best Airfix kit) in the markings of KB772 "Ropey" of 419 Sqdn RCAF (a veteran of 66 op's):

And the other is Revell's Lancaster B. Mk III in the markings of "V for Victory" of 625 Sqdn RAF (a veteran of 100 op's):

With the completion of the Lanc GB, it seems like a damn good time to update this thread as I know there are quite a few inspirational builds that can now be added !

I'll help breathe new life into this old thread! Here's my 1/72 Hasegawa Lanc from a few years ago. I used a ton of aftermarket goodies including Eduard PE cockpit and bomb bay details, and CMK resin wheel well, control surfaces, and flaps. Also corrected the canopy framework which had the escape hatch in the wrong place.
