Post your finished Lancasters here !

Recommended Posts

Probably posted this before, but here is my 1979 Airfix Lancaster completed in 2013 with scratch built interior detail, fully rubbed down and scribed panels.

LM550, AS-B "Beer", 166 Squadron, RAF Kirmington, July 1944.

Cheers (he says sipping on a Monteith's Summer Ale),

Matt

One I built earlier. 'Special Duty Flight' stationed at RAF Binbrook; 4 squadrons donated aircraft and crews for this No1 Group target marking force at the end of April '44. Gained some success and the white tail-plane and rudder/fins markings came as more daylight Ops were flown.

Believed outside pressure put paid to the SDF's expansion and all SDF crews and aircraft returned to their respective parent squadron by the start of August '44.

Now I'm tempted to buy the Belcher Bits engine parts. It looks really good.                                  Bob H.

Finally an Airfix model from the 1960s kit.  Donated to Jet Age.  I repaired and finished it as Mickey the Moocher

This one arrived painted gloss brown, gross interior, no props.

Think I did her justice.
