Alan P Posted December 18, 2010 Share Posted December 18, 2010 (edited) The Groupbuild will run from 24 December 2010 to 24 May 2011 and is open to all Britmodeller members. Entries are welcome in the spirit of the following guidelines: Scope: Any Axis vessel or aircraft that operated, or intended to operate, against Allied shipping in the North Atlantic; any Allied Vessel or aircraft that participated in the North Atlantic convoys, or in their protection, either directly or indirectly. The scope does not include S-Boats, or any short-range aircraft that operated against convoys in British coastal waters, nor any of the KM Hilfkreuzer disguised raiders which operated in the other oceans of the world. Geographical limits: The North Atlantic Ocean - the southern limit is a line from the West Indies to Gibraltar; the eastern limit is roughly from Lands End to Gibraltar. Timescale covered: 3rd September 1939 to 8th May 1945. Dioramas: Seascapes encouraged; other diorama ideas may include something depicting a scene from the Atlantic battle, eg. a Sherman tank as deck cargo, or a U-Boat conning tower in a large scale. Eligibility: To be included in the GB, subjects must be unstarted or not more than 25% complete. Any kit, scratchbuild or resin/metal kit is eligible for entry. A full in-progress build of each subject showing step-by-step progress should be presented in a dedicated build thread. Subjects from other Groupbuilds may be included, if built concurrently and within the timescale of the BoA GB.
