lampie
5 completed this year, although 2 of these were under construction during 2009. First to finish was a 5thERS Tamiya P-47 with Loon models dinghy packs. National markings and squadron codes painted on. Jan- May was taken up with 2 builds. A Tamiya P-51B in 4thFG ace Kidd Hofers markings. A slight conversion of the Tamiya D-25 to become the P-47K bubbletop prototype. August saw me finally finish my 1:24th VFS P-47. 18 month build in total although I estimate 12 months of that was "thinking about finishing it" time. Last completed build of the year is another Razorback. Fred Christensens "Rozzie Geth" Again, all national markings and squadron codes are painted on, as is the name "Rozzie Geth" Rozzie Geth II and another Mustang on the bench aiming for a January finish ( yeah right!) Jon Kunac-Tabinor
Oh yes - lovely - they are great. The P-51b is especially cute - but the K conversion is the star for me -unusual and different, and well done. Nice bunch of Ps there mate!! cheers Jonners

ChrisITA
All really superb Nigel, but the 1:24th VFS P-47 is outstanding !
lampie
Thanks the comments and encouragement guys I'm quite partial to the occasional P-51 if the colour scheme piques my interest, but I'm still definately a Jug Man,,,ooerr missus Very much hoping the VFS Razorback will come along sooner rather than later to add to the Bubbletop. It really is a fabulous kit! I have a Tamiya Spit waiting for a group build to start in January and the MDC Tiffie for another build starting in March, but the list of " I gotta build that one!" keeps growing in P-47 world. Continued research into the 56thFG keeps turning up some great looking aircraft, and I though it would be rude not to build "Miss Fire" after I did so much research on it for Zotz. I keep having to stop myself making a start on a Trumpy Razorback and a Hasegawa Bubbletop as I'm managing to stick to my "no more than two on the go at once" routine....just! Theres also a 9th AF " Touch of Texas" waiting in the wings after a chance meeting with 405thFG vet Charlie Mohrle earlier this year. Seeing as how I manage to finish about 5 a year on average thats 2011 and 2012 just about sorted I reckon Have a great Christmas everyone.
