Revell 1/48 Typhoon

Cracking job and nice to see one in the Luftwaffe markings for a change. I often wondered why the canard foreplanes were set at such an angle when at rest but seeing the boarding ladder in position it all makes sense now.

Many thanks for all your generous coments, I'm very pleased to read them.

Calum - the FOD covers in the intakes are TwoMikes. All the others are scratchbuilt. I say 'built' but they are simply wine bottle foil pressed on to the fuselage and trimmed to shape. Red paint, a black Sharpie., some spare 'No Step' decals and a patch or two of white finish them off.

Great tip, thanks mate. I'll have to remember that one.

Hi Tom,

The FOD covers are simply wine foil pressed on to the fuselage and trimmed to shape. Glad you like my Typhoon.

Cheers,

Gareth

That is awesome. I have two 1/48th scale ones to do , both the Single and two seater. I hope mine turn out as nice as this. Fantanstic model.

Thanks for the further comments.

TomTwin, the antennae covers are a combination of a foil 'base' and some shaped plastic strip and Mr. Surfacer 500.
