Model alliance 6 sqn decals?

Hi there,

was reading hereabouts that Model Alliance were planning on releasing decals for 6 sqn and 1435 flt typhoons at Telford. Did anyone pick up a set, or better yet have pictures of them? Would be interested to know exactly what's on the sheets!

Ta, Paul

Hi Paul

The artwork was on display but the sheet won't be out till next year. From what I could see it looked pretty good

Scott C

Scott,

any shots of the artwork? I was not there and have been searching for any images.

Hi Tom

The artwork was mounted on a board behind there stall and they couldn't take it off so I could get a really close look or a photo. Keep checking there web site. They told me the artwork is all ready and will be going to the printers very soon, so look out for them very early in the new year

Scott,

many thanks. I was at Leuchars on the day the new Typhoons arrived. Met one of the 6 Squadron pilots and got some great shots of him beside his aircraft (which just happened to have his name on it). He was the first to arrive at the base and it was the first jet to arrive. I am hoping it will be one of the ones they are making markings for.

Thanks for the help!

Do you know what scale(s)?

Hi Tom

They will be in 1/72 and 1/48

Saw a few of the 6 Sqn jets at Coningsby before they left but with no squadron markings and couldn't make it down there the day they left. Might have to take a trip to Scotland sometime in the near future

From Kev Nunn.........

Scott,

If you're local to Coningsby it might be worth keeping a eye on the place as although 6 have moved North, they've already had the odd jet drop back in for a quick visit. Also, there's several more new aircraft on acceptance there that will I assume be marked prior to joining 6 at Leuchars. I believe there's a couple of departure's likely in the near future.

For those that haven't seen the 6 Squadron Typhoons...

Photos taken at Coningsby on 9th September - days before they departed further north.

Looking forward to the new decal sheet!
