David_in_Fremont
Greetings all! I just finished this one over the weekend and thought I'd share the results. This was my first atempt at a lo-viz scheme and I'm pretty happy with the results. The in-progress thread was done on ARC as part of their Marines Group Build Cheers! Hope you like! Gary West
Very nice David - what's going on with the marks on the drop tanks though?
Bandwagon 106
Lovely David, very nice job. I really like Mike 'Hawks, just behind my computer there is a rather nice one from VMA-131 lurking...I might have to start another one now that my three (C and 2Es) are nearly finished. Skybert
Very nice scooter David! But you were taking a chance balancing it on the balcony that way... I had my mig 15 blown overboard that way, and never again found the canopy down in the needlebrushes.... :shithappens: always love scooters.. dswoofie
Nice build David. I've got a couple of OA-4M's in 1/72 that I might have a go at after seeing this! Karl.
David_in_Fremont
Very nice David - what's going on with the marks on the drop tanks though? Thanks all! Most reference pics I've found show drop tanks that were pretty messy. This was the case on most US Jets of the era, and I attempted to achieve a similar look. I like heavily weathered models as it is... Just looks better to my eye.
