gunpowder17
This is the Master replicas studio scale 32" Millennium Falcon. I have spent the last 4 or so days repainting it as i wasnt happy with the original paintjob. While i am at it i am also scratchbuilding a new cockpit interior. Heres how it looked at first. I then did this! 3-4 days later it looks like this!
gunpowder17
Heres the scratchbuilt cockpit rear wall so far. Heres the original one Heres my newly built one. It still needs more panels and hole , fibre optics etc but you get the idea.
Obi-Jiff Kenobi
Ooh, smart. The new paintjob is very nice, and more subtle than the factory finish, more in keeping with the way the ship appears on screen. I only wish I could afford one! dswoofie
Very, very, nice! It looked pretty damned good to begin with, but that re-paint job makes it look superb! You've managed to create some fantastic effects on there and it looks a work of art... The new bulkhead in the cockpit looks like it'll be a treat when you've finished. Don't forget to post us some pics of that when it's done! I'm really jealous as I'd love one like that in my cabinet! Superb Work. Karl. Smiffy
Been wondering when you were gonna post this 'ere. That rear panel looks brilliant. You should be very pleased, it looks just like the fullsize set. Are you gonna be putting any figures in there?.
dswoofie
That rear cockpit bulkhead looks superb now. Bet it looks fantastic in low light? Have you got any lighting in the exhausts? Karl.

Smiffy
Is there an approximate scale for this ship? Well the original Falcon (5ft) built for the first movie was 1/24 (ish) scale as were the X and Y wings, as well as the TIE fighters. This one replicates the one they built for Empire, which is commonly referred to as the 32" Falcon. Edited December 31, 2007 by Smiffy
gunpowder17
I was looking at this thread and i noticed that all of the photos of this model were taken with my small Sony and that it doesnt really do it justice , so , i took some more with my Nikon D50. Here they are. By the way the cockpit interior and has been completely redone since the photos in this thread were taken. I will try and get some better shots of it. gunpowder17
Thank you! It was pointed out to me that i had missed a couple of concrete coloured patches on the main hull. Being one to tinker , i got on it straight away. I then re shot some photos with a very crude blue screen (well sheets!) These photos were taken in lower light with the Falcon being illuminated from one side.
