I will also be in a What-if GB pt2. Maybe something a little less ambitious next time. Or at least make sure I don't have 3 weeks in the middle taken up with other stuff, lol

I've got plenty of ideas on the back burner. Some are new, some have been done before. Just started my Pre-war Meteor (Gloster Thunderbolt).

Also have my 3 TSR2s, amongst others......

WIF GB part 2? Well with 45 entries making it to the end, I reckon this has been one of the more popular GB's, so I would hope so, however it will need to be in a while, as I didn't realise how much of my time it would take to oversee the build!

I wouldn't mind helping to run it if it meant we could have a WIFGB2.

Went through the piccies many times and finally settled on Smed's P-4 Nimrod and the Mad General's VC-10 Vengeance. Highlights for me were Ian's Korean Rafale, Enzo's Hellcat, Dean's Merlin Canberra, the Rhodesian and USN Buccs and I really liked the paint work on Nakajima's Ki201.

Would've voted for mullers excellent IAC F-15 if it was on the lists.

I'm ashamed to admit that normally I have absolutely no interest in WIFs whatsoever! Quite an achievement therefore to get me interested enough to plough through all the piccys (great turnout guys), and to think long and hard about my favourite.

I thought General Melchett's VC10 was superb, but for its true originality Dambuster's Jetfire got my vote.

Well done to you all though - an impressive GB.

I didn't get a chance to get my F-15 pics into the finished gallery on time, it was finished on time though!

Once again this was my fault your F-15D build wasn't included in the final poll and for that I apologise Keith. Went through the Completed Builds thread as I was adding options to the poll and forgot to look beyond that. A stupid mistake that means I missed out on your 2nd build.

Can I just say that this was one of the hardest choices to make of any group build I've witnessed? It's not just about build quality, because the idea itself also has to be taken into account.

There was no weak link at all amongst this lot. Well done everybody.

No problem Col, I should have edited the topic title to say it was completed. Never mind, ther's always the next Whif GB.

Well done everyone who entered, there's some great imaginations on this site! :mental:

Just a quick post to offer thanks as well to Daniel and Col, great GB and some interesting subjects out there.

Don't leave it too long for the sequel!

It'll be a 3 part prequel.

Spoke to Mish last week about the chance of Whif GB II and she will make a space in the forthcoming calendar. It will, however, most likely be mid to late 2012 due to the large number of GBs planned already. Gives us all plenty time to get the ideas and materials stored ;)
