Selwyn
Does anyone know what model of AAM was carried by Belgian Mirage 5 aircraft? Also does anyone have a good close up of Belgian Mirage 5BR camera nose? , the camera windows seem to be a different configuration to the standard Mirage IIIR Recce Nose. Billter
Dear Selwyn, I flew Mirages 5BR in the belgian air force during the early seventies. I'd like to add a decent (but black & white) photograph of the early nose but can't find the way to do it on this forum. During the Gulf War and afterwards, it looked different because of the addition of a panoramic camera photos of which can be found on BAHA's web site: BAHA Please feel free to ask for more information! Best regards, Bill Dear Bill, I saw yesterday accidentally a photograph of you in my fathers collection. It's a photo taken during a pilots meet in Beauvechain. You're together with Piet D'Haeseleer, Herman Candries and Jan Govaerts. I wasn't aware you flew also the 104... If you like the photo, please give me your email. Kind regards, Marc (son of Rik Nuyens) Edited November 2, 2010 by mnuyens
Billter
Dear Selwyn, I know the photograph you're referring to, it was during a military pilot's meet at Beauvechain, nothing to do with flying F-104's. Most pictures were taken by re-grouping former and actual pilots in their first affected squadron. Sadly, Piet D'haeseleer left us 20 years ago..
