phat trev Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 (edited) I am about to start a 1/35 bombed out WW2 German Tank, Having been attacked and straffed by our good ol' RAF Typhoons. After an attack with Rockets and 20mm Cannon how would an armoured Panther Tank end up? Ok, it sounds a but of a stupid question (answer: A Mangled Mess) but what areas of the vehicle would take the most impact, and how would particular areas (prehaps with the most armour) hold out against such a beating? Does anyone know of any other bombed out tanks (any scale) that have been made? links would be great also any tips prehaps? Thanks!!!! Edited October 24, 2010 by phat trev
Slippery Jim Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Try looking at this site. This guy models armour in all sorts of states of disrepair
Andy K Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 The Panzerwrecks series of books is very useful for this sort of stuff; Link Lots of pics of wrecked tanks by various means that gives you some idea of the violence involved.
vonmarkenhausen Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 With firework night just passed I would say, build a kit and put some bangers next to it? For maximum effect? Seriously Panzer wrecks is the best option.
Doug Rogers Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 (edited) Something like this I would imagine, those rockets didn\'t take any prisoners! Edited November 16, 2010 by Doug Rogers
vonmarkenhausen Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Sweet jesus and all the little orphans? Bet the crew didn't suffer. I like the way the tree is holding the barrel and upper hull up. Is that a for sale sign at the bottom of the pic? Edited November 13, 2010 by vonmarkenhausen
