aeroplanedriver
Hi all- I posted a pic of a few of my 'what-if' builds on my introduction thread, where Gary West requested a closer look, so instead of clutter up that thread, here are a handful of my previous builds. Comments, criticism, violent reactions, and genuflection are all welcome. I know what-if isnt everybody's cup of tea, and I can respect that (I like a nice accurate real-world build too), but any and all are welcome to stop by over at the whatifmodelers.com forum for more of this madness! British Army Comanche AH.1-Falkland Islands 2010 Royal Navy Skyhawk FG.5, Kosovo 1999 Royal Navy Corsair FG.1, North Atlantic 1984 Grumman/BAe Scorpion FG.1, RAFG c.1990 RAF Tornado FG.5, Afghanistan 2009 Royal Navy Sea Jaguar FRS.1, South Atlantic 1982 RAF Guardian AC.1A, Afghanistan 2006 RAAF F-100, South Vietnam c.1967 So there is a selection of my What-If builds. The histories and backstories alluded to are all on the what-if site. Edited October 18, 2007 by aeroplanedriver

aeroplanedriver
The F27 is my favourite there, it just looks so right.Got any more? Ask and ye shall recieve... Royal Navy BAE Firestorm FG.1-Korea 2014. My first real attempt at scratchbuilding, so there's not much detail. What if.....he built a real world model? ...and another for Christmas. Gnats and Hawks are nice, but..... This is a quick whif I put together in England last year on my holidays. IDF AV-8B 'Cherev'-Negev Dispersale Site, January 1991-one of Hatchets faves I think. Sorry, I know this belongs in Sci-Fi...It is still a work in progress, sitting in the attic waiting for landing gear. Same for this one, another Sci-Fi-Boeing/BAES Martian Assault Lander Back to more appropriate material for this forum: USMC OA-37B Dragonfly, Saudi Arabia, January 1991 RAFG Starfighter F.1A, c.1984 USAAC Vampire Bat parasite fighter, England 1947 Thats about it for models I have decent pics of. I do have a couple of armour models also, but I wont clutter this thread with them. I'll get around to posting them in the armour section.
aeroplanedriver
Sweet! Is the F-27 1/144? It's the ESCI 1/72 version. Nice little kit, but the fit was "challenging" to say the least.
Gary West
Royal Navy BAE Firestorm FG.1-Korea 2014. So we are getting new carriers after all and a war in the near future too by the looks of it
mikeew
Lovely work aeroplanedriver! The Sea Jaguar and the Red Arrow Hunter are the faves for me. Though all your builds look completely plausible. You know, I am really warming to the WhIf modeling side of things. I think I may have to dip a tentative toe in the whif waters, as it were. regards, Mike

I love that christmas Spitfire! No need to worry about painting and decalling the wings either What kind of gear are you looking for for the evolved-Stealth? I might be able to help
Smiffy
You've got some really good stuff there. I love the Spit. I've been planning to do a series of Lancaster dioramas for a while now and one of 'em is gonna be a snow scene like that. Also partial to a bit of whiffery (plan to do one of my TSR.2's as a 91 Gulf war desert pink machine).
dswoofie
Some really, really good stuff there! I've never really taken much notice of WIF stuff before, but it's starting to interest me a little more lately... might have to have a whirl at something one day! My favourites out of these would be the RN Skyhawk and A-7, and the Reds Hunter... Good Stuff! Karl.
