maltadefender
Hi all, There aren't many 1/32 vehicles to sit nicely with a WW2 aircraft, so I was wondering whether a blind man would like to see the difference if I went for 1/35 instead? Obi-Jiff Kenobi
It probably wouldn't be that noticeable, except to the real rivet-counter. If you had a mix of 1/32 and 1/35 figures it might stick out a bit more, though. Obi-Jiff
Iain Ogilvie
Although almost 10% linear difference between the scales I think you can usually get away with it - esp figures and vehicles with a/c Iain
speedy
I've done it with my Tamiya Spitfire. The bicycles are 1/35 items, I just moved them as far away from the model as possible. Link here Steve.
Spence
Hey fella! If it was me, I wouldn't use 1/35 vehicles alongside 1/32 aircraft unless it was absolutely necessary. Though it may seem as though the difference is minimal, in reality the disparity between 1/32 aircraft and 1/35 vehicles is very noticeable, making either the aircraft look unduly large or the vehicles unduly small... If you are going to mix them up, be very careful; make sure they are kept as far apart as possible because you will notice the difference - trust me. In fact, this is the major reason why I have yet to make a diorama based around an aircraft in 1/32 and why I am considering it, but using a superdetailed Monogram 1/32 vehicle to ensure a consistent appearance across all of the elements... Hope this helps! Spence
maltadefender
Wow! Love that Spit diorama! Thanks for the replies. chaps. I'm going to build my 1/32 Hurricane Trop before the end of the year and would really like either a Tilly or a Matilda tank in Malta 'stone wall' camo with it. I don't have a lot of room to play with on display... I'll think on a little bit!
mrvr6
put the vehicles closer to the camera close down the aperture on your camera (higher f number) that will increase the depth of field and keep more in focus
