Jade Falcon
Hi, new member here. I've got a taste, unfortunately, for the more unusual subjects in modelling, and I've recently decided to concentrate primarily on aircraft and Sci-Fi. Does anyone know if there is an injection moulded model of the Imperial Airways Armstrong Whitworth Argosy passenger airliner from the 1930's? *EDIT*, Sorry I put this in the wrong forum, it should have went in the classic Civil. With respect you've got to be joking (Injection?). No the only commercial kit of the tri-motor Argosy was a 144 scale Vac, long OOP. There will be a very nice 1:48 scratch built one at Telford by the way. John Edited October 2, 2010 by John Aero

The subject in question is the tri-motor biplane airliner of the 1930's not the "Whistling Wheelbarrow". John

Test Graham
No Argosy, I'm afraid, but AZ do a set of Fokker trimotor variants in 1/144 including an Avro 10. Airfix do the HP42, of course, in the same scale and Welsh Models do an Ensign. Other period subjects do crop up from time to time, but they are often fairly expensive resins or very limited production items that have to be caught immediately. VLE Models web site is still up http://vlemodels.tripod.com/argosy.htm He also did/does a Fokker 32, Sikorsky S38, Farman Goliath, Leo 213 and Wibault 282/3. I've got his 1/72 DFW kit, and it's a nice kit, late period Chubbock in style. Contact details are here: http://vlemodels.tripod.com/order.htm I do know a couple of peole who are friends of Bob, so if no response I can find out more.
