hatchet
Looks fantastic Jen -I'd be hard pressed to get to the same stage with a 1/72 kit in the same time
desmojen
Well, we made it to the show! The model is far from finished, there was only one exhaust on it, no outriggers, no detail painting or weathering, but from 6 feet away it looked good enough for now I could finish it quite easily from here, but I'm actually going to do a bit more work in places, probably re decal it with non yellowed ones etc etc. None of which will be done just now. I intend to do a few nice SMALL easy relaxing well fitting models before going back to it. My plan is to finish it as part of the forthcoming Superkit GB on UAMF, which I am co-moderating. Any masochists out there? Feel free to join in Jen.
Nev
Looks great Jen, but I actually missed it at Telford - my eyes were magnetically drawn to all those big sailing ships on the back row and I'm stood there thinking "ah well, Jen can't have made it after all" Edited November 13, 2007 by Nev
desmojen
I built two of those as well! Jen.

avro683
Better late than never, I've just found this. Terrific build, Jen. I've just bought an FRS-1 and am hinking about getting the Heritage cockpit to go with it. Prsumably that was not available when you built this? Seamus
Wowsers! Just spotted this one as well, what a terrific build I know first hand what a mission these kits are, so to do yours as quickly as you did is hugely impressive. I've just bought an FRS-1 and am hinking about getting the Heritage cockpit to go with it. I'd also recommend investing in their undercarriage set as it's so heavy when finished the kit undercarriage struggles to take the weight.
AnonymousFO98
Hi Jen have only just discovered this thread- what have i been missin'?!? wow girl! -you totally rock! failing to get my head around the size of kit+ detail + speed of build + quality of work equation - have i missed something out. it doesn't seem possible what happened to the last few pics please? ps early Harriers are superb in my humble opinion- thanks for sharing
desmojen
Thanks guys In truth, it is still sitting on top of one of my vivs in the exact state it left Telford '07 I am, however, soon going to polish it off because someone has offered to purchase it as a completed model. I have had to get a new noseleg (thanks Ian ) because the Flightpath one has collapsed under the sheer weight of Milliput! The heritage stuff was available when I did it to answer Avro's query. I chose the Flightpath set as I thought it would answer all the kits shortcomings in a oner. It sort of does, but I ended up having to scratch build and replace a lot more than I should have had to considering the price of the update set. I'll continue this thread when I finish her off Jen. Presumably then the strengthening peice (part 340) is not man for the job? Tony
