RAF F-86

Hi all,

Went shopping today for a Hunter and brought an F-86.

Hey, I couldn't find a 32 Hunter.

I plan to do a RAF F86 F 4.

The kit a got was an kinetics 1/32 F86F-30.

Can I convert this to an F 4?

What do I have to do to it?

Were can I get decals for RAF F-86 1/32?

Last one the kit can with sidewinders, did the RAF F-86 have them mounted?

The Hunter will be next. This will be done as an Rhodsia from the early 70's.

Cheers,

Brett

the revell hunters seem to be very hard to come by ay the moment (both 1/72 and 1/32) as they have been discontinued

why did I not buy any from Modelzone zone when they were selling off the MK6 boxings for £9.99? a chance missed.

that siad I hoping to pick upa couple on saturday at Farnboro show

Hi all,

Any ideas on RAF F-86 decals?

Cheers,

Brett

I have that kit, Brett (it was a tenner cheaper than the Italeri offering!), mine will be in RAF markings though I'm not sure who's - yet! Standard stencilling from the kit is useable, and roundels and serials can be bodged together from various generic sets.

I quite fancy an all metal (with red wing tips and lower tail unit) "Beechers Brook" (I think) ferry colours - the last batch had "hard" wings..... That saves worrying about squadron colours - although 3 Sqns Green and Yellow bars can be knocked up fairly easy......as can 66 sqn's Blue and White..........
