Pilgrim_UK
Anybody like Macross. I have found my happy spot in modelling. Its the macross series of jets of course a little late in the day as most of them seem to be discontinued and hard to find. (Wheres the fun in making it easy eh) They really capture my imagination and I am rethinking my 1/32 mentality and deciding to ebay most it to pay for my now 1/72, 1/48, 1/35, Sci-fi habit. I have a list of interesting kits to fill my time. These are the versions i have come across and more than likely have missed some versions. Oliver
I love macross, so far i have several kits built, YF-19, VF-25J, Armoured VF-25S and VF-11B. Of the hasegawa kits you have listed, you are missing the YF-21, VF-22 from macross 7, The pinky red SV-51, VT-1 Super Ostrich, VF-19A VFX Ravens. There are a few more as well that i forget. Bandai also do the newer versions of the 1/72 macross valkyries like the VF-25 and VF-27 but sadly no VF-171, though they are made to be transformable and will require some work to make into models. There are also resin kits available for some of the more obscure valkyries but they are rather expensive and hard to come by, luckily i managed to get hold of a resin kit of my favorite valkyrie, the VF-11B, and have just finished it. The SV-51 as requested, alot of the ones listed and shown in the picture in Pilgrim's post are now unfortunately oop, but they do get re-released from time to time and there are quite a few on ebay: http://www.hlj.com/product/HSG65775 Hasegawa have now also started releasing a few kits in 1/48th as well. starting with the VF-1 and YF-19. Oliver
I'll take some finished pics for you to have a gander at in the next couple of days. About to start my YF-21 too. But if you want to see some really really impressive macross kits go to macrossworld and look for wm cheng's work, it really is something to behold. The SV-51 is massive compared to the others, almost like a 1/48th scale in size compared to the things like the VF-1, but i guess thats the way the show's creators wanted it. There are also some really cool looking valkyries that have never made it to 1/72nd or 1/48th scale injection kits, which is a shame, such as the VF-5000B, VF-171, VF-17, VF-11. All of which i am dying for in 72nd but hey ho. edit found some pics of my YF-19 and my VF-25: Since i took these pictures, some time ago now, i've modified the paint a little to bring out the details more on the YF-19 Edited September 15, 2010 by Oliver

Pilgrim_UK
Some cracking builds you have there Oliver and have been looking at Macross world where a guy is building a 1/32 macross fighter, impressive. I am seriously looking to get some of those 1/48 kits of macross fighters hell i might even build some of them. So many kits so many days till next pay day. I am just figuring out there is a lot of similar aircraft with different names in kit form. Its figuring out which decal set you want i guess with the Sv51, the Ivanov or the Nora type. Lets hope Hasegawa do a re-release at some point or even better new kits. @Green That was an impressive RC.
