brianthemodeller
I have decided to have a go at making my own decals. I have got the white decal paper and printed the images onto it using my trusty inkjet printer. The instructions recommend using Microscale Liquid Decal Film to seal them but I wondered if any varnish or laquer would do - particularly as I have aerosol of Halfords Autoacrylic laquer in my useful box! Oh, and I don't have an airbrush! Any advice would be appreciated. TIA Brian
Mark M
the microsol stuff is the best, and you can brush it on print the decals leave the completly alone over night to dry then brush on the film leave for a few hours and recoat then after a day you can use them, ive done this a few times and they have come out well the worst bit was printing them to scale! MODeller
Halfords Clear Lacquer for me every time! Mist a light coat on and allow to dry before applying a heavier topcoat. MODeller
brianthemodeller
Went back to Transport Models this afternoon and got a bottle of the Microsol stuff - figured it was: a. easier to apply something with a brush rather than going outside to spray and b. a good excuse to go back to the model shop! Thanks to all for the advice Brian
