spike7451 Posted September 10, 2010 Share Posted September 10, 2010 Finished!! Built straight from the box apart from replacement seats & AW decals. The mod's I made to the kit are: 1-Modified the rear face of the BOZ pod using a cut down rear part from the Airfix Boz pod,I left the rear face smooth to replicate a ballast pod. 2-Coamings added to the pilots IP & anti-glare screens added to the nav's CRT screens. 3-Throttle & wing sweep lever added 4-APU exhaust cut & boxed in 5-ALARM rails added. 6-FLIR pod added. 7-LRMTS lens made from sequin as well as HUD lens. Kit went together quite well & the decals were straightforward HOWEVER despite undercoating them with white paint,they were still too translucent,especially with the green & yellow colours,the white undercoat making them too light,so I ended up doubling them up with top decals made from scrap decal strips.
