mollythedog
Hi all, Someone, somewhere, posted a link to an online set of Airfix ship modelling articles. I have pretty much all of them, somewhere, clipped from old mags, but I'd like to find this internet resource again (and flag it up to others here of course). I thought I'd saved it but can't locate the website now. Can anyone help? Cheers mtd

mollythedog
Hi Dave, Oh yes, that's the one. A cursory glance at the articles still required to complete the archive shows that I'm not even close to having all the articles published by this magazine. Not that it matters, but it would be nice to help out if I could. I don't know about others, but the influence of Peter Hodges and Chris Ellis's articles on me in the 70's was enormous.I hear that the Airfix mag will relaunch this year,it would be nice to think they might have some little effect on future modellers,it is hard to think that'll come close to the forerunner though I wish them luck trying. Thanks again mtd
Alfisti
Hi MTD,glad to be of some assistance in your request.I wish Airfix well too in the launch of their new mag,and like you,I have many fond memories of reading avidly through the old Airfix mag from the 60's/70's that got the creative juices flowing. The other day I was unpacking some stuff after moving house 7 years ago,and found my old 'How to go plastic modelling' book by Chris Ellis,I received this as a Xmas present in 1968,it cost 25/- (£1.??,can't work this new money out,Lol!),did it bring back some memories browsing the pages,ah,nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
