On July 8th 1940 Johann Boehm too off from Mölders France, little did he know that this flight was a one way trip. Later over Kent he was shot down and crash landed at Bladbean Hill, Kent where he was taken prisoner and became know as the pilot of the first fighter plane to be shot down during what was to become the Battle of Britain.
