Edgar Posted August 10, 2010 Share Posted August 10, 2010 Although you can't tell on '256, it was quite common for otherwise-silver-painted airframes to have unpainted, burnished cowlings and fuel tank covers, as on '331 (and 41 Squadron's "special.") dambuster Posted August 10, 2010 Share Posted August 10, 2010 Also LA228 of 600 Sqn coded RAG-N, photo in SAM Camouflage and Markings No 1, RAF Fighters 1945-50 UK Based, LA249 RAG-M of the same Sqn, photo in Cold War Shield Vol 1, LA267 RAI-M of 602 Sqn, part photo also in Cold War Shield.
