AnonymousAA72
Been dragging on a bit this one - it must be the best part of two years!! It was originally in the Jagular GB on here!!! There's a few pic's of the build in the "In Progress or Critique" section. But I've managed to cross the t's and dot the i's - while the paint was drying on my Hawk- and am now declaring this one DONE!!! Enough is enough. (I think that may be my first completion of the year!!!!) Airfix kit, new pointy nose - depicting '725 as she appeared when first delivered to 54 Sqn at Coltishall back in 1974/5!! THIRTY-FIVE years ago!! Scratch-built IFR probe and ladder. Pitot and IFR nozzle from Andy on here , Slats n' flaps, burner cans from Paragon, cockpit and seat from NeoMega..decals from Xtradecal, Aifix, MA etc., Yes, I know there should be more RBF tag's on board, but I wanted to show the pitot tube off!! EDIT: Just remembered the intakes are from Two Mikes!!! I'll take some more pic's tomorrow, but I thought I'd experiment with settings etc., on my camera..... Smiffy
Bill Clark's back in business. Coooool. Very nice job. It's not often you see one of the early, pointy nose Jags. Love it.
Davec_24
Love it! Can't have too many of these '70s Jags. She may have taken a while to build, but I think she's definitely worth it. Edited August 7, 2010 by Davec_24

Deanflyer
Nice job Bill...I like the little details such as the tiny recess on the side of the cockpit where the canopy latch is - that shows some research has been going on! Good work on the ladder - I scratchbuilt one of those for my Jag, and it's not easy. I also know what you mean about not wanting to cover up Andy's pitot probe, as they really are something, aren't they? I'd be interested in seeing what the wheel wells are like, as you've opened up the gear doors... Cheers, Dean

Cheers, Dean Thanks Dean, and to everyone else for your kind comments!!! Its very gratefully received and appreciated! I started this off at about the same time as your's Dean, as a part of the GB!! Your's got finished a lot sooner than mine!! OK, the undercarriage bays..I did open them up, and I have added some detail - though not too much in the nose gear bay. What is there is somewhat "representative" as opposed to being fully detailed!! Two reasons: One - no-one will see it!! Two: The thought of adding a lot of plumbing/details was one of the reasons for the long delay! So in order to push '725 onto the taxi-way, I just left it as it was!!! Anyway a few more pic's taken in natural light this morning....and off of the square metre or so of Coltishall! A couple of the lower regions... And one with a visitor from Boscombe Down.....Thats the next "oldie" that needs a few hours work to complete.... A scheme that would look so nice on a TSR2...... atdb27
Hi Bill, She looks the Biz and masks the effort/pain (build work) you did to get it looking sooooo good!. Once did a major on her at Coltishall by which time she had a 'Chizel' nose. Adrian
