KLP
Hello, I am currently building the Tamiya Spitfire mk Vb Trop (AN-V). Did it have the aerial wires going from the fuselage to the horizontal stabilizers like other mk Vb's? I am having trouble finding pictures confirming this. Thanks in advance Kenneth
Stonar
Doesn't look like it here. Seems to be a trace (in roundel) of where they may once have entered the fuselage. Quite a paint job that! I'm pretty sure that the starboard aileron is a replacement in the "reverse" camouflage scheme. There has obviously been a big repair to that wing. What's going on with the cowling? Never mind the area around the squadron code/serial. Good luck,it should be fun. Steve Edited July 30, 2010 by Stonar

Muller
Same here, was just looking at pics of it. Where abouts on the tailplane does the wire from the roundel go too?
KLP
Den, thanks for the link. Very useful. So it seems that this aircraft did not have any wires, as it most likely had VHF and not IFF, agree? Steve, I think you are right about the aileron. Unfortunately it is too late for my model, as it is already painted and weathered :-( Muller, the wires from the fuselage go to the tips of the horizontal stabilizers. Thanks a lot everybody. What a cool forum I found here! Kenneth
