Catbird
Saw them at Waddington show and they looked great. Does that colour scheme suit the Tucano or what? Sadly it will be a short lived scheme as it blends in with the scenery too well and make them hard to spot at low level. Im looking forward to decals for this scheme. Davec_24
Love it, that really does suit the Tucano! I think I might have to build one... Thanks for sharing!

eng
I think the Tuc really suits this scheme, definetly got my Airfix 72nd kit lined up to do this, can anyone tell me if the codes are white or sky in colour? Wouldn't it be nice if Airfix produced a 48th scale kit, you could have an overall black scheme, this special scheme, the old red/white scheme and a south american machine to give you 4 options straight out the box!!! spike7451
Very nice. It's a real "RAF 46" look. You can almost imagine it mixing it up with a BF-109 over Londons Sky's,filling the hun with lead from it's wing mounted .50's.....daga daga daga! Pete in Lincs
Them ain't einkels! BTW the Short's built Tucano is a very different aircraft from the original Embraer machine and the kit would need a lot of work. Cheers Pete
Dr S
The two Spit-canos (or Tuc-fires) were are RIAT. Codes are white. stevehnz
They look very smart in that scheme & would make a cool model with the right kit & decals. But, is it just my imagination or are the roundel proprtions a bit suspect? That doesn't look like 1:3:5:7 to me. Sorry if this has been covered before. Steve. davidelvy
There were a number of non-standard proportions seen during the Battle of Britain, so these may not be "wrong".
Dr S
There were a number of non-standard proportions seen during the Battle of Britain, so these may not be "wrong". They were giving out a leaflet for for the display team and it shows the Tucano flying with a restored early Spitfire (QJ*K). (I can try and scan if anyone needs it) Apart from the differences in roundel proportion, the red and blue colours used appear to be "modern versions" and thus slightly lighter which put the kybosh on me using modified spitfire decals for my tucano. There is a superb little page in the Spitcanno here Linky G
