Chris Hewitt
Having this built this model when I was a kid ,thought it was time to built again with some of the skills I have picked up,over the many years, plus this is the first ship were most of it has been sprayed, including the etching, want a difference it makes, so fine. the funnels fininshed the deck was the only bits that were painted with a brush thats 1/600 beside 1/700 !! keefr22
That looks great! Excellent paintwork on it! As to whether to waterline? If it were down to me I'd say definitely! Ships look so much better on a sea base - especially ones as good as this! Keef
Shar2
She's looking very nice. I've never built a civvie ship so will watch this with interest. I prefer my ships full hull..

Martian
This is going to be good! I would leave her as she is, if you waterline her you will lose that rather nice red/white/black effect on the hull. Martin
Alan P
I'll go with Martin and Shar2, I think those beautiful liners look aesthetically more appealing in full hull, warships are too busy topside and suit the waterline look.
Chris Hewitt
Well thanks for all the votes ,waterline or full hull ,probly guessed from the pics this one is staying full hull, getting to the fun bit all the wee bits that makes the model done the supports on the first deck and fitted railings I can,t get to once the next deck is on. Ray S
Very nice! I am glad you stuck to full hull as I do not think she would have looked right with her bottom removed! I hope my kit turns out as well as this one. Ray
Ratch
Looks good. I'm leaning toward waterlining mine - and giving her dazzle camo

Murdo
That looks great. Who makes the PE? This will definitely look better as full hull with that very neat waterline. Nice job! Apart from a model of the Discovery I haven't built a ship for a long, long time (about 35 years) and your build makes me very tempted to try one especially looking at the difference PE makes. Martian
Looks great. I would try Phil's full hull method of the ship on battens of wood. Martin
