Kev1n
Ok....I've decided....scrap everything I said b4.... 1/144, DC9, in Alitalia c/s (Airfix) 1/144, MD80, in SWissair colours (Minicraft) I'm swapping the decals for these kits, need to modify the AZ sheet and use 2 SR sheets on the MD My back-up is a Lufthansa Airbus A340 An uninspiring c/s doesnt mean an uninspiriong model so detail detail detail, open doors etc, on all 3 pics up later EDIT forget the DC9 & A340,the 2nd one will be a Ghana Airways DC10 in 1/200 scale Edited October 3, 2010 by kev1n

I'm reckoning that they've watched chicken run and nabbed all the pieces and made a full model kit that they're gonna fly off in whwen I'm not looking !!!! Kev1n
ok.....ere we go den..... 1/144 scale MD80 and DC9 underway - Airfix DC9 and Minicraft MD80.... Braz MD80 cockpit... This has to be painted and decorated - a plain resin cockpit wouldnt look right and there are no control coloums so I added them....and the seat belts..... OMG....I'msuch a GEEK!!! doorway interior next.... not sure how much of the cockpit will be seen thru' the pax door but I'll leave the cockpit door open anyway first cargo door cut out...... and my back-up.... Airbus A340. It will go in Lufty colours, I need the window frames from the SN/EI kit tho' but with doors and hatches and things everywhere, a plain color scheme doesntmean a plain model.... (you knew that anyway.....go on....admit it....you did) more l8erz

Kev1n
Looking forward to watching your build threads mate. I want to see how you build them opened up so I can learn from the master himself I know you have seen it, but my Trident 3 conversion thread has some pics of basic interior http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34305 Most of my interiors are actually very simple, just a few bits of plastic card cut to shape for the door areas

Kev1n
update.... discovered some new info on the cockpit so a slight delay while I make corrections... (ty rich ) also cracking on with cabin detail... pics soon....
Kev1n
here's the latest pics of the MD 80 which willnow be is SAS colours.... various openings cut out - as well as the doors, the apu exhaust and ac vents have been cut and will be boxed in behind ...also the rear airstairs will be lowered so I needed to remove the plastic here bulkheads for the cargo bays, which will also support the floor ...like so looking along the cabin for a test fit checking the rear galley entry test fitting the cockpit and forward galley area the bulkheads behind the pilot's seats are more substantial than braz have made them so am rebuilding these... so removed and reconstruction commenced...
