smuts Posted July 6, 2010 Share Posted July 6, 2010 Hi guys, picked this up at Stafordshire moorelands on Sunday..... this one has the white metal cannons & ammo boxs/feeds, off we go started the interior drilled out the seat backs & sprayed with WEM Nakajima grey/green (straw)..... smuts Posted July 9, 2010 Author Share Posted July 9, 2010 Hi guys, built up the pit floor & fitted the cannons used Modelmaster gun metal & Alclad steel for those, then added Eduard Nakajima belts to the seats... both sidewalls box's picked out in modelmaster cockpit black... radio gear rear bulkhead.. started on the radial while the WEM enamels were drying sprayed the engine Alclad steel & Tamiya chrome enamel... cowl fitted & prop on, sprayed with Gunz Japanese propeller colour lacquer... just starting to pick out the details now. What was the Staffs show like? Hi recommend it to all a great show well run & organised never would have thought it was their first great bunch of guys & girls. smuts Posted July 11, 2010 Author Share Posted July 11, 2010 Hi guys, a bit more progress sidewalls fitted & details picked out added some scratches/scuffs with Tamiya chrome silver.. fuse halves together & wings stabs fitted.. quit a bit of filler needed on the wings (me?) so a few panels will need a re scribe..
