Phartycr0c
Dont know if these are of interest, but I was browsing through some of my old phots tonight and found these! Taken on 7th Feb 2006 some unusual visitors to Lakenheath. Yup I was shocked when this came peeking between the Eagles! This was approximately two weeks before their retirement and by all accounts they were acting as dissimilar targets for the F15's. Four in total were deployed. I wasnt sure at the time if anyone else caught them as there were not many folks around, Freezing cold you see! Enjoy Edit Googling Lakenheath Sea Harriers points at several articles re the exercise Edited June 28, 2010 by Phartycr0c
thx6667
The F-15 pic is interesting, reminds me of a comment in FSM not long after Desert Storm where the Eagle was eulogised as the only fighter aircraft with a perfect air-to-air kill/loss ratio. Well, perhaps but the little grey jump jet in the background got there first... Edited June 28, 2010 by Jonathan Mock
Shar2
Nice pics. Shame they're of 801Sqn cabs, The SHAR's gave a good account of themselves when they went up against F-15's out in Sardinia, although they weren't allowed to use BVR's and the SHARs weren't allowed to VIFF.
