Made a little more progress on these today. These are the 1/72 Finemolds kits. They make a nice change from the studio scale stuff i make usually.

Finemolds are releasing a 48th X-wing.

I can't remember where I saw it but there is also an X-Wing coming in 1/35th from Kotobukiya but mastered by Fine Molds. It includes ground crew figures, part of the hanger and the ship has open panels showing a lot of internal details. I'm pretty sure the pictures were from a trade show in Japan and had the HLJ name over them.

IIRC it is supposed to released as a trading kit series where you buy some boxes and get an unknown section of the kit and then trade with friends to get all the bits you need. Sounds a bit weird to do this with a kit but they do it all the time with sets of small pre-built and painted diorama models from Thunderbirds, UFO, the Alien movies and X-Men etc. Apparently you can get them from vending machines over there.
