eng
Evening all, Just thought I'd post a few pic's of my Revell Typhoon in 1/72 scale. I started this when the kit first hit the shelf's and it's been a bit of a "stop start" build, but finding increasingly good pic's of the Typhoon all over the place, and seeing my first Tiffie air display re-sparked my interest in this awesome jet, and Revells superb kit. Its all out of the box, decals and all, and I've added absolutely nothing to it. Only things that may be called into question is whether or not this specific airframe has the PIRATE sensor or not, some of 29's jets do and some don't, but I've not seen a pic of "BX" to provide an answer, I think it looks better with the sensor so fitted it! I've also yet to find a suitable medium to reproduce the APU exhaust staining on the L/h side of the fuselage above the wing and some scuffing of the paintwork around the L/h side of the cockpit. One of the first Typhoon pic's in Jamie Hunter's - "Fighting Force" book shows a rather grubby 29 Sqn jet. The landing lights should also be parallel to the ground and not the gear door, too late now. Snapped the inlet ramps off I don't know how many times, and on my next build they'll be left off til the end. Revells decal sheet is immense, covering 7 different schemes including 3, 11,17 and 29 Sqn of the RAF. Anyway some pic's for picking over, all comments good and bad welcome, there's 3 more in the stash to get right!! Thank's for looking, Eng
