Just been buzzed!

About 1120, had a GR4 pass very low over our house in Erskine (close to GLA), heading West to East, looks like he's (or she!) was following the River Clyde.

Was outside at the time down the side of the house and saw it from here, but in the few sec's it took me to get to the front of the house I couldn't see it, can only assume it pulled a very hard right turn to overshoot at GLA.

Unusual for a fastjet to overshoot in this fashion, normally its a long run in similar to the commercial stuff. Bloody good though, right over the house!!

Any info?

Damn missed it was outside in the garden at that time and never heard a thing. I stay in Renfrew on the airport side.

I live about seven miles from RAF Marham, almost exactly on the line of the lazy runway, so I get Tornados flying over my house all the time. Believe me, it soon loses its novelty.

Same as living close the one of the Squadrons & getting woken at 8am on start up!

Luxury! An 8am wake-up call would be brilliant. I'm up at 5am every morning. But it's my alarm clock that wakes me - or sometimes the birds who seem to be unusually noisy round these parts.

not just over renfrew !!,i was at london rd refuse tip ,on a hill overlooking the city ,bottom of the m74 when it passed ,it definitely flew over the city centre then hung a left over bailleston heading north ,flying lower than some of the high rise flats in that area!!,lost it visually as it turned west back towards the airport? ,also sitting outside last night i was sure heard it take off from glasgow at about 20.00hrs ,eng can you confirm?

Amed Forces Day promotion - bit about it here:

A tornado plane during a flypast as TV presenter Lorraine Kelly was helping to promote Armed Forces Day, she set off from RAF Leuchars in Fife, flying by Royal Navy helicopter to Scotstoun shipyard in Glasgow.

Buccy - No mention of a Tornado nightstopper here on the log's page - http://www.egpf.vze.com/ Was rather neat, in the split second it took me to open the gate at the side of the house and get out front it was gone! Must have been doing a fair rate of knots!!

Spike/Enzo - come on, I have to disagree guy's, the novelty of this would NEVER wear off!!

Couple of the lads from work had been up Ben Ledi ("the Cobbler") on Tuesday and said they were buzzed by a Tornado and a Harrier in the space of an hour! Tuesday must have been a busy day!

Was in the back garden today planting out chillies/peppers/tomatoes and got overflown by PA474 on its approach to Southampton airport - could have reached out and touched it!
