I like this idea, mainly because Malta is one of my favourite holiday destinations!

After listing all those aircraft, would model ships (Ark Royal, anyone?) be eligible?

There are several aircraft I would be interested in doing but do you want to limit it to the air side. A lot of ships used Malta as a base or operations or for support, not counting the resupply convoys. Also several items of an armored interest including Matildas, Universal Carriers, 40mm AA, and numerous support vehicles (all in that neat Malta brick wall camo).

Looking good thanks for the interest guys!

Can't believe I forgot the Martin Maryland on the list! Regular mount of Adrian Warburton.

Fingers crossed - think my stash would have something suitable! :innocent:

not got a stash but am sure I could find something to buy and build.... if it could wait til after August tho so I can get my hols out the way first (plus the Hellcat I am buuilding)... Hmmmm just spotte dthe Wildcat is on the list - perhaps the sister kit to the one I am building now would be possible (plus I am about to read a book about a FAA carrier pilot - something like "on and off a carrier"..... so could try to build a specific plane flown by a person I have read about)

Good choice! There are markings for a Martlet in the Operation Pedestal 1/72 set or the Wildcat would be the pale grey jobbies on the USS Wasp when she was delivering Spitfires.

I'm tempted by this one, I have:-

Bristol Beaufighter

Bristol Beaufort

De Havilland Mosquito

Fairey Swordfish

Grumman Martlet

Hawker Hurricane Mk.I

Hawker Hurricane Mk.II

Hawker Sea Hurricane Mk.I

Lockheed Hudson

Short Sunderland

Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb/c

Supermarine Spitfire PR Mk.IV

Vickers Wellington

So plenty there to choose from.

Is this OK ?

Spot on! JG26 operated E-trops, the Revell re-release has the right decals for it I believe.

Sounds interesting. Only thing in my stash is an ancient Italeri (or indeed Italaerei, as it was spelt then), He111 H-6.

One decal option is for a sand/green torpedo bomber from 2/KG 26, 'Mediterraneo 1942-43'.

Would this be OK?
