Col.
Coming back into Inverurie after being out on the bike this evening I heard an unusual noise and was shortly after treated to a fly-over at low level by a Westland Scout. It passed overhead on an easterly flightpath at about 150 feet just to the north side of Inverurie at 2005 hours. It's been unusual to see anything other than birds in the air this last week as it is but I was so busy watching it pass I damned near fell off the bike. Now I sure I've heard of some civil-owned examples but are they still in service with the AAC?

They used to be a favourite transport of SAS/SBS types.....but doubt any are still in service. there are a few private examples in existance & one landed at Eastwell manor in Kent a few years ago. If anyone knows any different please make us all aware as AAC are a favorite subject having visited |Middle Wallop museum sinc it was in a small 'nissen hut' & flown in ex RAF/briefly AAC Auster G-ASTI
