I've finished the two kits I declared for this groupbuild, but I haven't had enough of

my WW1 modelling fix! But I thought I'd have a go at something new (to me) by way

of another model. I downloaded this:

card7001.jpg

from a website that I've forgotten now, and I'm going to try a card model. I've made a start

by cutting out the fuselage parts:

And that's where we're up to!

That looks like fun. Sure you can't remember where it came from?

I bought a (1/144??) card zeppelin Hindenburg years ago (much to the annoyance of the wife), but I never finished it (to her relief)

It was so long ago I can't be certain, but it might have been www.fiddlersgreen.net

I'm expecting to be well entertained by this one, not done any card modelling since

primary school!

Edit to correct a mis-spelling.

Two yoghurt cartons, an egg box and sticky back plastic, guess what, you'll get a 'Blue Peter' badge. :analintruder:

Good luck and have fun. Last card model I did was a Merlin - the bird - about a million years ago...

Weeelll..... I need to start again with this one! It's been stuck to my fingers so many times with the cyano

that it's ended up screwed up in the round hangar under the desk! But the best bit about card modelling is

that I can simply print it off again and have another go without any expense! Might change to something

with fewer wings, though........

Decided I really was :deadhorse: with the card models! I think I haven't enough patience

for those.

This GB's got 5 weeks to go, and it seems like ages since my builds finished, so I'll have a

look in the stash..........

OK, chaps, here we are with five weeks to go to the Armistice, so I think I'll have a go with another model.

I dug this:

Fok.jpg

out of the stash,so wish me luck as I join the Dawn Patrol to do battle with the Fokker scourge!

Looks like a decent little kit. It comes with decals for a machine flown by Ernst Udet on the Western

Front in winter 1915-16. :pilot:

That looks great, Deacon, lovely job! Very inspiring pic as well. What did you use for the main green colour?

Is it mixed according to the kit instructions, or did you find an appropriate colour elsewhere?

Hell mate, it was two years ago! :o

Just, painted the underside to get a match. The closest colour is Vallejo Model Colour Olive Green 967. I only used Vallejo back then so it was this one colour.

Hope this helps.

Finally made a start on this. Did a little painting of parts on the sprue, then this afternoon I had

a session of assembly and I've got to this:

These little Revell WW1 fighters go together really well!

Well, in the dying minutes of this GB before the Amistice, here's where my final entry is up to:

LilFokker.jpg

LilFokker2.jpg

Partly decalled, awaiting assembly of final details, a matt coat, and the dreaded rigging..........

I'll post pictures when I do finish.....

Yes, failed miserably at the last hurdle! I'm afraid the Fokker scourge has got the better of me.

The model just awaits rigging , but the rigging is so essential to the look of the aircraft that I can't

say it's finished.
