Paul A H
Inspired by some of the excellent 1/72 armour builds on here recently, I decided to indulge my interest in cold war Soviet AFVs and have a go at building the Revell 1/72 T-80B. I believe the kit is ex-Matchbox. It's nice and easy to put together with no nasty surprises. I used Tamiya and Citadel acrylics for the basic painting, thinned oil paints for the wash and Mig pigments for the weathering. At some point I'll add the aerials to the turret (when I find a suitable material to use). Next to a .50 cal AP round (inert of course!) for scale. 1/72 AFVs are so small you could collect hundreds and not run out of space for them... Thanks for looking. daz greenwood
Very nice Paul! I haven't got one of these, but when I do, I hope it turns out as good as this!

Mike
Looks good Paul... however, I was expecting the T-80 light tank of WWII, rather than this behemoth. I've got the older ones in my stash in 1:35... quite a big difference from yours. Looks like a T-34 on a diet

crookedmouth
If that was 1/48, I'd be impressed. As it's 1/72...
T-Tango
Thats really good Paul, if you hadn't put the scale I would have said it was at least 1/48 or even 1/35, excellent job.
