Harrier Gr3

Recommended Posts

So, managed to do a bit on the Harrier today:

Building on the dining-room table with a bit of hardboard for cutting and dripping paint on.

No flesh colour so the pilot's going to be a bit grey-faced. Also abandoned the somewhat fiddly mechanism to get the jet nozzles turning together - they're going to get glued in place! Seem to remember doing the same thing 30-odd years ago when I last built an Airfix Harrier...

:-)

More tomorrow!

That paint looks a bit grim first coat, doesn't it? Not looking forward to painting mine red :S

Certainly does! Looks a bit better after another coat or two, but I'll be happy to go back to spraying enamels!

Getting there!

Haven't had much time to progress this over the last couple of days, but have somehow found time to blitz the camouflage and get the decals on:

Oh, for some setting solution!

Just need to get the undercarriage and stores on - should finish tomorrow. Decorating permitting

Well, I think I'm going to call it finished!

OK as long as you don't look too closely! I'll try and do some better photos of the finished beastie at some point.
