yeehah1
13-09-07 Just curious. I ordered Eduard 32-029 which arrived today mainly for the lovely instrument panel. It has a harness in it and I was just wondering if this is a Sutton harness? Which I believe this type had? Isn't there meant ot be a bit that goes into the hole in the backrest? Edgar
As I don't want to repeat myself all I'll say is that I have some scans, which will show you how the layout should be, if you send me an E-mail address. The best harness, before the latest Eduard offering, 32-088 (don't use -029) was made by Model Technologies (whatever happened to them?) Osher
It's amazing how little information there is on this subject, and how often I've seen BoB aircraft with the wrong straps. The Sutton harness is khaki in colour, with brass ringed holes down it. The later harnesses are staps, which are adjusted, and do not have the brass holes down them. Edgar
Absolutely true; I only found out, on a visit to the RAF Museum's library. Even now, I only have part of the story, but "either Sutton, or Q" has become either Sutton, Sutton type K, QK, QS, or ZB harnesses. Edgar
