Trumpeter P-47

Repainted

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks

I was able to start up the build of the Trumpeter P- 47 razorback today. This is one I’ll have wait for. Lots of work to do on the inside, so here is the first days of work.

Started the work of detailing up the insides of the office. More details will be added. Going to use Waldron’s placards set to lift up the text in cockpit.

Almost a full day of work to get the interior pieces in order. Just needing some light sanding and it will fit inside the fuselage.

Some sinkmarks have been filled.

Mike,

I think you make a good point. I have done bits and bobs but just can't sit down and crack off a decent length of time on a kit.

Finding it hard to be bothered at the mo.

Cheers.

I will happily catch that one Mike - guilty as charged - and anyway i am not that sensitive!!! How are you by the way - still having to endure the attentions of the medics?

David.

Like that too Lars - suppose you are now teachers pet?

Next job that’s been started is the office. Trumpeter gives us modellers a nice cockpit, but you can always put in something more

For this one I ask Ms Pandora for some help, and she vacuumed a new seat for me.

Now the job is just to sand the new seat out from all plastic :evil_laugh:

you get just a thinner seat from all this.

I was burning some midnight oil yesterday so here’s some up dates. The new seat that was vacuumed is sanded out from the plastic. Now is it just some small details to make in plasticard to get it done. Her you have the seat next to the original kitseat. More details are to be fabricated for the office later.

The engine is glued together and had the first spray of paint, even the inside of the fuselage got a green treatment.

Nice work Lars... Could you explain why you replaced the seat, as the pic doesn't show up any major difference between the old & new parts that I can see (apart from those moulded recesses in the back on the kit part). :goodjob:

Just spotted that you want to make the seat thinner... ignore me

It´s always nice to take out the old pandora for spinn :kissing2:

That old box Is the best thing..And if you can, you´ll do it.

The kit seat is not that bad at all, so just sand the edges thin and it will do.This was just for the fun

Hi

Is there anyone who can explain how the linkage to the cowlingflaps is operated and how the linkage look like? I’m in for the opening flaps for the engine and can’t find any sharp pics of these details.

Cheers

Thank you ED

Cockpit almost finished almost everything is painted and weathered. Will assembly the office this weekend. I’m going too use Mike’s instrument decals and Eduards Seatbelts. The acetatefilm you got from Trumpeter is a very nice thing, but the transparent panel has sadly not clear lenses for it so you can’t see the instruments as clear as you would like to. Eduards belt are much better then the kits.
