ASHO77
Ok guys..this may be a dumb question with an obvious answer but I'm hoping that I'm wrong.I have a set of 1/48 Blue Angels decals that appear to have fractured over the years and the decal film seems to have eroded away. The paper around the decals is covered in some fine dust which can't be removed without applying water to it,but by doing so the decals start to lift.I've taken one off and it fractured when I tried to remove it from the backing paper. So......is there a way you can restore decals in this condition? Maybe some brush on liquid decal film migh work if applied with a fine brush to the decal itself and very little of the backing paper.Any suggestions, comments, hints would be greatly appreciated.Yes I've thought of just getting a new decal sheet, but it seems a shame to throw away a nice full set for a Hornet. Howard of Effingham
microscale liquid decal film works fine. you may need to use a fine pair of tweezers to remove the decal from the backing paper after you have soaked it, though.
