Glen T
I'm sure this was shown on TV at the time or soon after, somewhere in the dim recesses of what passes for my memory it rings a bell. Glen.
Julien
Cool. One of our drivers at work has pics from when he was in Sweden of them closing the road and Viggens taking off. Julien
Test Graham
The M55 had not been opened at the time, so there was no need to stop traffic. Note the rawness of the earthworks, and the glare from the unfinished east-bound carriageway. It was a publicity job for the Jaguar, about 1974/75? I think that's the Weeton flyover, from where the M55 sweeps down to Blackpool and then runs along the old railway line to Blackpool Central, as was.
