Phartycr0c
For a forthcoming project, does anyone know if the Aires 1/32 resin cockpit set for the Tomcat will fit into the Revell cockpit? I dont want to blow £30 for summat that wont fit. Anyone taken a similar plunge?
Alan P
I don't want to give you a definitve yes on this as i haven't tried it, but i do know the Teknics stuff fit the Revell kit, even the airframe corrections for the B/D. I know from experience that the Eduard PE goes on the Revell very convincingly without any adjustment, so i would recommend you try it. Especially as Aires cockpits don't fit the intended model without tons of cutting, filing and sanding anyway in my experience. And I'll be watching, offering plenty of moral support and no financial assistance if it doesn't work!!
Phartycr0c
Ah Teknics, yes I hadnt thought of that ..... Good call bud. As far as anything going wrong goes, I think ill do the whole thing in a bare metal finish and wash it This build is actually for a mate, commission if you will, and will be some time away but I want to start collecting a few bits and bobs. Whilst on the subject, anyone know of any 1/32 decs for VF 143 Puking Dogs?
XV571
CAM decals do a set: http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?FULL=CAM32071&PIC_NO=2 Not sure how accurate the sheet details are but at least you get the Griffins, which would be the hardest part to reproduce. gishuk
good luck with this kit, its a bit of a beast in places, but the kit cockpit paints up really well imo, and with a bit of detailing on the rears and some resin seats looks nice. Phartycr0c
Thanks ever so much for that guys. Scored the decals which apparently are very few and far between so double thanks really. Ill keep on the lookout for the cockpit bits or just the relevant seats. as a matter of interest were they the same as the F4's
