TEZ
After many years sat on the shelf I have eventually plucked up the courage to start this kit. Much has been said about this kit so I will let the pictures below do the talking. My intentions are to depict a 16 squadron aircraft during the last years of service. Richard M
Looks like you're doing a good job on it, are you going to do any other extras along with the dropped flaps? Best Rich
TEZ
Looks like you're doing a good job on it, are you going to do any other extras along with the dropped flaps?Best Rich The plan is to have the airbrake and canopy open. I bought the Flightpath detail set a few years ago and this includes access ladders, Intake guards etc. The set also includes a number of resin stores - ALQ 101, 1000 lb bombs, Paveway and Martel. Along with the slipper tanks which as you can see are already fitted, I will fit an AIM 9B on the st'bd wing and a '101 on the port outer pylon...well that's the plan. TEZ
I have included a few more photos of this build. As you can see I have used a quite a bit of brass courtesy of Eduard and Flightpath. The build at times has been a struggle, but I am starting to enjoy it now, now that the detailing can be added. Andrew

TEZ
Here's some more progress pictures. As you can I've given it a coat of Halfords primer to check for errors. Wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I needed to add some super glue around the windscreen. Flightpath supply the external windscreen frame which fits over the existing kit part and requires some fairing in.

TEZ
Not long to go for Yeovilton and still a bit to do. I used Paynes grey oil paint to weather the airframe and will highlight some of panels with pastels. The decals were from various sources, including the kit, Check Six (which were very thick) and Modeldecal. I had to make the nose marking because the Check Six sheet's example was far too small. On with the undercarriage, ladders...
