Mike in Aotearoa
Hi all been monkeying around with the idea of 'forced perspective', and tried using a 48th and 72nd P-40. Not a new idea by any means, but one I haven't tried before. The camera is a bit limiting, as is the size of the 'studio' Mike Edited September 5, 2007 by Mike in Aotearoa

Mike Looks like the technique has great potential Mike- with the right backgrounds it could really work well IMO.
Mike in Aotearoa
Looks like the technique has great potential Mike- with the right backgrounds it could really work well IMO. Thanks, some palm trees, tropical beaches and an idyllic lagoon would set the scene... along with ramshackle huts and tents, longdrop loos, and scores of kiwi groundies toiling in the midday sun! Like you say, it definitely has some potential. Perhaps if it was taken out doors, it might look a bit more convincing... Mike
Erwin
Hi, Good result. I've had this idea to do a British airfield the same way. Using the Airfix controltower, fueltruck, etc in the background. I could do a lightblue cardboardbackgroud and glue a half model to it.Making it look like a plane is making an overflight. Strangeways
Looks good (as do the models). You could try shooting from absolute ground level to force the perspective, that way it's impossible for the eye to determine the distance between the models.
