Mike in Aotearoa
These are wot I SHOULD be working on... but, in common with many modellers, other projects jump in and say "BUILD ME!", and I say, why not. So these have been sidelined for longer than I care to admit, which is a shame really, because in the case of the F-105 and Panther, there's not really a lot left to do on them! Mono F-105D Hasegawa GR7 - I think I'm going about building this in the most awkward, posterior-about way imaginable! Mentalguru
A few points of note with the Harrier. You see the "notches" at the bottom of the intake cowl- they will be visible after the rest of the parts are assembled- I found out too late on mine.. Also, check the vertical alignment of the locator boss that is on the rear of the cockpit parts, it "might" give you some trouble, and it might not. Apart from that I cant see any other way of tackling it. As I also have both a panther and Harrier in similar states, maybe we should start our own progress thread- to keep each other going! Rich Thanks for the heads-up, Rich. The Harrier is a tad over-engineered methinks. I can see why they've done it that way, but it makes cleaning up all the joins a somewhat irritating process. I'm hoping to make a bit more progress on them in the next wee while, although the other builds I have on the go at the moment are taking priority for various reasons. The Thud and the Panther keep taunting me with various what-if possibilities, both involving round national markings... More later Mike

model_madness
Hi Mike and welcome to the 95% built club - why do we do that? You actually get to 95%? My foray stops after opening the box, reading the instructions and a dry-fit!
