Jazzy Jase
I started this kit last year as part of the D-Day group build, but got fed up of it and put it aside. It was finished a few months ago and I've finally got around to taking some pictures. It's not in a D-Day scheme as I couldn't face doing the invasion stripes. Constructive criticism welcome. alex
Really god job. How were the kit decals? And are the rockets included in the kit? Alex
Jazzy Jase
Really god job. How were the kit decals? And are the rockets included in the kit?Alex I didn't even attempt to use the kit decals after suffering badly with Academy decals in the past. These were out-of-production after market decals that I got from someone on here. The rockets are included on the kit. If memory serves correctly this aircraft was actually a bomb-carrying Typhoon. Yes, this is an aircraft of No.439 Sq. RCAF. The Canadian Typhoon squadrons were all bomb carriers.
Jazzy Jase
Nice one of my favorite planes , any reason why the serial number is so low on the fuslarge ? No idea, I'm pretty sure I followed the decal diagram correctly.
ben_m
Lovely finish to this plane. I hope the one I'm hacking about at the moment comes out looking as good as this. The Academy kit has a lot of accuracy issues, but it goes together very well- excellent value. The black late-war spinner adds to the menacing look. Did you use oil paint for the panel line wash?
