Neil
Built from the Hasegawa 1/72 Su-27 kit, more or less out of the box except for the Ukrain colour scheme and the markings were a combination of hand painting and various bits of decals. The burnt metal areas were achieved by first spraying with Alclad, then coating various sections with gloss varnish tinted with browns, greys and blues. Love that camo scheme . (Bugger to mask up though!).

Richard M
Very nice build, love the colour combinations of the scheme. So what's your masking technique, tamiya tape, parafilm, liquid latex? Best Rich

Neil
Ta folks. So what's your masking technique, tamiya tape, parafilm, liquid latex?Best Rich The scheme was masked up using thin strips of Tamiya tape, the gaps in between then filled with normal tape and Maskol type stuff. Wasn't too difficult as such, just bloomin' time consuming! Actually Richard, I bought that kit from Nicks Models, in Limassol, about 3 yrs ago, then brought it back with me to the UK after I had built it. (Had to get the paint from Nicosia though ). mikeew
Excellent stuf as usual Neil . I did'nt realise just how big those damn afterburner cans were, they seem to look huge on your model. Kudos to you with that paint job too, very nice. I bet you had a few of those "Thats bloomin' marvellous" moments whilst unmasking it all?
