timmah Posted December 4, 2009 Share Posted December 4, 2009 (edited) Hi This was originally included for the Naval forces group build Original build thread here And as it still sits today It's so close to being finished, just need to do the following Attach the engine/cowling/propeller - All made, painted and ready Attach the undercarraige and doors - All made, painted and ready Add the drop tank- All made, painted and ready Add aerial and mast Add guns and pitot tube 3 Decals on the propeller Exhaust smoke Add the main canopy and unmask it all Insert the gunsight Thanks for looking Tim. timmah Posted December 5, 2009 Author Share Posted December 5, 2009 Hi Whilst thinking of what to do to the burner cans on the B-1B I tinkered with the zero 1/ I painted the leading edge of the wings yellow. 2/ Painted the cannons and guns ready for fitting. 3/ Sprayed some exhaust stains on the side of the fuselage Will post some progress pictures later Tim. Work done over the weekend and tonight: Mast added General weathering and dirt applied Engine/Cowl/Prop added Yellow painted on leading edge and "chipped" for wear Matt coat applied and exhaust stain added on top (although that appears to have dried to a gloss finish) Guns and cannons added. Undercarraige and doors fitted Looks good! What paint did you use for the IJN green? I used Humbrol Matt 116 Green, not sure how accurate it is?
