Airfix "out the box" Well, that's it completed; a very enjoyable build, let down slightly by the decals and the fragility of some of the detail parts: I've tried the "spinning rotors" trick on some of these phots, but is is pretty bright outside in the snow! Completed apart from a few dabs of paint I found after taking the photos. Also the rotor warning needs replacing on the Stbd side,I havent had any feedback yet from anyone so may have to look for a whole kit. Edit Colin at the decal bank has offered to look for some. To summarize the changes: I cut the sliding and crew door on the right hand side out and modelled them open, lots of detail added to the interior, the rear clamshell doors were cut out and modelled open. It's been completed for a couple of weeks but I have been waiting for a new camera hence some dust can be seen on the rotors. Anyway 1/48 scale Academy CH46-E, I recommend it to anyone.
