Kit Kat build, fancied a break...

I’ve been doing a whole load of detail work on various projects, just fancied something quick and simple.

I bought this kit to use with the Model alliance UK Air Arm part III decal set, the ETPS Gripen, and I have a go at my wife for buying a dress to go with a new handbag!

The idea here was to do something nice and easy, nothing to taxing, straight out of the box, canopy closed.

This is the box and what you get:

The Decals

The very basic cockpit with the kit decal instrument panels, hence the canopy closed. Only thing added was some tape seatbelts.

And 36 hours from first cutting plastic, ready for undercoat.

So far the kit has been great, only a tiny bit of filler along the top of the wing/fuselage joins. The canopy is fantastic, absolutely clear as bell, I still dipped it in klear, even though it didn’t really need it.

By the way, if anyone has a spare drop tank for one of these that they're not using that they would like to donate, please let me know....

I've got the same kit in the same scheme on the bench at the moment. Positively glacial build speed compared to yours though!

Got some paint on last night and this morning, will klear coat later and hopefully decal tonight.
